"Come on, call her Derpy, It'll be fun!" a classmate said to you, "I mean look at her!" he speaks as if she's a freak.
You stare at the new pegasus in class, a blue bow in her hair placed there lovingly by her mother. She's grey in tone, with vibrant yellow eyes, brighter than the sunrise. But her eyes seem to be the problem.
She's looking down at her book, pretending to read page after page but she can't focus, the filly is fighting back tears as she hears the giggles and insults circulating.
"Come on." The classmate says to you again, "Call her derpy, we're all going to do it."
You feel conflicted, you don't even know her real name, but even you're not perfect. You snicker when you catch a glimpse of her eyes looking off in separate direction. You never thought past that point to what problems they may have caused her. You smile, and nod to the classmate.
The teacher leaves the classroom, the students stand up.
The filly lowers the book as you and your classmates circle her. She looks more and more nervous, trying to look at everyone at once, afraid that if she looked away for a moment someone would attack.
You do attack, not with punches or kicks, but with words. Everypony around her starts to chant, 'Derpy! Derpy! Derpy!' methodically.
You start in, a smile plastered on your face as you make fun of the new filly in class for a sin she didn't commit. Somepony went as far as to throw a sandwich at her, ruining their lunch, but it seemed that if they could make her day tangibly worse, it would be worth it.
Your smile fades as she mumbles something and bursts into tears, they others don't stop however. She simply cries more and more with each wave of chanting. The filly frantically looks around, tears dripping onto the floor as her cheeks flooded with a scarlet tone. She yelled out, something between 'Stop' and 'Shut up', it was choked by tears and flustered thoughts.
She runs out of the room, pushing passed classmates and the teacher in the hallway.
Your 'friends' exchange laughs and hoofbumps, proud of what they just did. 'Call her Derpy' runs through your mind, over and over, the image of the crying filly burned into your memory.
Come on, call her derpy. It'll be fun.
Let me clarify a couple points. I don't hate derpy as a name, or a character. It's simply some head canon for the walleyed princess.

This really makes me feel bad for her. The thought of her being bullied is so sad I know her as Derpy but I even think that Ditsy is to close to Derpy so she will be known to me as Muffins
